Day Two: Santa Cruz to King City

Today we rode 109 miles…50 or so in the rain. The rain was so bad that apparently they closed the route to the fifteen hundred riders behind us (there is something to be said for my darling husband waking me up at 4:30am, dressed, completely packed up and ready to go). That means that only 500 or so riders were able to finish today’s ride – a windy, rainy wind through strawberry and artichoke fields. And we were two of them!
